This special edition pen from Montblanc symbolizes the lifetime and achievements of one of the most well-known humans in modern history: former President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. Kennedy was first elected president in 1960 after narrowly defeating Richard Nixon to become the first Catholic president of the US, serving as a senator for Massachusetts from 1953 to 1960 prior to that. During his short tenure as president, John F Kennedy handled notable situations such as the Cuban Missile Crisis, The peak of the Cold War with Russia, the initial push to land a man on the moon (The Apollo Program) which led to the Lunar Landing in 1969, and of course his untimely assassination in 1963.

Today, nearly 60 years later, Montblanc has honored his memory with a beautiful fountain pen. The initials JFK are found engraved on the clip. Along the bottom of the cap, three platinum-coated rings were added to the design to pay tribute to his three brothers Joseph, Robert, and Edward Kennedy. John Kennedy represents a time in America unlike any other, and his style and grace has been perfectly embodied by this beautiful writing instrument by Montblanc.
